US Consul General Jason Chue delivered an emotional speech that looked back on his 3-year diplomatic term in Northern Germany. He reflected on the central common values that unite the USA and Germany and emphasized the significance of transatlantic friendship and cooperation. This was Jason Chue‘s last speech as US Consul General to Northern Germany. He will be sorely missed, but his diplomatic efforts and messages will continue to inspire!
On this day of the 249th celebration of US Independence, the President of the Hamburg Parliament, Carola Veit, and the Hamburg Senator for Economic Affairs and Innovation, Melanie Leonhard, also delivered moving speeches in which they thanked CG Chue for his tremendous service and dedication, emphasized the importance of US-German partnership, and called for continued international cooperation and respect in dealing with the global challenges of our times.
Thank you to the US Consulate General and to CG Jason Chue for including me in the celebrations! Happy July 4th!
