Right after the final performance of Waiting for Godot – In The Small Moments We Live at the Ernst Deutsch Theater in Hamburg, Dr. Henriette J. Runte from Cultureum Verlag sat down for an exclusive interview with the production’s brilliant choreographer and principal dancer, Edvin Revazov.

Samuel Beckett’s legendary text gets a breathtakingly tender and elegant, yet lively and approachable ballet makeover.

In this conversation, Dr. J talks with Edvin Revazov about the realization of this incredible staging, exploring how he was inspired by Beckett’s silent, poignant moments to create a spectacular evening of pure movement and classical grace.

Edvin Revazov, a celebrated First Soloist / Principal Dancer with the world-renowned Hamburg Ballet, founded the Hamburger Kammerballett in 2022 to provide a safe artistic home and new perspective for displaced Ukrainian dancers.

For this production, Edvin Revazov took the stage himself as Estragon, paired with guest star Alexandr Trusch as Vladimir.

They were supported by the phenomenal full ensemble of the Hamburger Kammerballett: Vladyslav Bondar (as Pozzo), Valerii Liubenko (as Lucky), as well as the company’s exceptional female dancers, Veronika Hordina, Nataliia Hurska, Viktoriia Miroshyna, and Alisa Nikitina.
